San Franscisco 49ersEdit
After playing college football at Bowling Green, he was signed by the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2009; he made two tackles in five games over two years.
He played in one game for the Denver Broncos in 2010. Briggs would later be released.
Green Bay PackersEdit
After the Green Bay Packers were depleted at linebacker due to injuries to players like Nick Barnett, Brad Jones, and Brady Poppinga among several, Briggs was claimed off of waivers by the Packers on October 26, 2010 to add depth. He was designated as a special teams player. On February 6, 2011, the Packers won Super Bowl XLV. Briggs would provide an iconic picture after the victory, holding up a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel newspaper reading "WORLD CHAMPS!".
