The FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Year is an award presented annually by FedEx (a business partner of the National Football League), awarded to the top quarterback (Air) and running back (Ground) as determined by a fan online vote.
Three different Green Bay Packers have been named winners since the awards were introduced in 2003. Quarterbacks Brett Favre (2007) and Aaron Rodgers (2010) have won the NFL Air Player of the Year, while Ahman Green won the inaugural NFL Ground Player of the Year in 2003.
Every week during the NFL season, six finalists are chosen for the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week award; three quarterbacks are nominated as the FedEx Air player and three running backs are nominated as the FedEx Ground player. Fans will vote online at NFL.com.
At the end of the season, fans nominate from three finalists of each category the FedEx Air & Ground Players of the Year.
