Packers 2015 Draft Edit
The 2015 Draft was a very exciting one, especially for us Packer fans. The Packers first pick was Damarious Randall, a safety from Arizona State University. Mike McCarthy thinks that he has great upside, and can probably play cornerback, a position in need for the Packers. The next pick was Quinten Rollins, whom Mike Mayock compares to Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis. Stanford wideout Ty Montgomery was selected in the third round, while outside linebacker Jake Ryan was selected in the fourth.
The fifth round draft choice was a bit of a surprise. The Packers traded up to land former UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley. The Packers had three picks in the sixth round. They selected fullback Aaron Ripkowski, defensive end Christian Ringo, and tight end Kennard Beckman, their final draft choice.
After the draft, the Packers signed some undrafted free agents, targeting positions of dire need.
CB Bernard Blake, Colorado State WR Javess Blue, Kentucky WR Ricky Collins, Texas A&M-Commerce WR Adrian Coxson, Stony Brook RB John Crockett, North Dakota State LB Tavarus Dantzler, Bethune-Cookman OT Fabbians Ebbele, Arizona S Ladarius Gunter, Miami RB Alonzo Harris, Louisiana-Lafayette TE Mitchell Henry, Western Kentucky NT Lavon Hooks, Missouri WR Jimmie Hunt, Old Dominion WR Larry Pinkard, Bluefield College OL Andy Phillips, Central Michigan LB Jermauria Rasco, LSU G Marcus Reed, Fayetteville State OL Matt Rotheram, Pittsburgh LB James Vaughters, Stanford
Hopefully, these players can make the same kind of impact as other undrafted free agents the Packers have picked up, such as Tramon Williams and Jarrett Boykin.
